Q1：如果我要去越南旅游的话，你会推荐我去哪里？为什么？

  清薇：我会推荐我居住的城市胡志明。我们国家有两个大型城市：河内和胡志明。河内就像中国北京，是一个历史的城市；然后胡志明就像中国上海，是一个现代、国际的城市。我住在胡志明市的Chinatown里，我们家庭传统也带有一些华人习惯。比如我从小到大都很喜欢吃广东菜，所以我刚到杭州就一直在找广东菜哈哈。如果中国人来胡志明的Chinatown，可以遇到很多华人然后感受越南华人区的文化，我觉得会很有趣。

  Q1: If I want to travel to Vietnam, where would you recommend me to go? Why?

  Qingwei: I would recommend Ho Chi Minh City, where I live. There are two large cities in our country: Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh. Hanoi, like Beijing, China, is a city of history; Then Ho Chi Minh is like Shanghai, China, a modern, cosmopolitan city. I live in Chinatown in Ho Chi Minh City, and our family tradition has some Chinese habits. For example, I have always liked Cantonese food since I was a child, so I have been looking for Cantonese food since I first arrived in Hangzhou haha. If Chinese come to Chinatown in Ho Chi Minh City, they can meet a lot of Chinese and experience the culture of the Chinese part of Vietnam, I think it will be very interesting.

  Q2:你觉得现在越南发展很快的原因是什么？哪些方面变化比较大？

  清薇：改革开放吧。大概是十年前开始的，我感受最明显的是交通比原先更加发达了。我们政府修建了地铁、高速公路之类的基础设施，还打算在接下来的十年，修建像中国这样的高铁。河内的地铁修建是和中国合作的，现在已经开通使用了。胡志明市地铁都建得差不多了，大概明年可以使用了。然后就是和中国做生意越来越多了，很多越南水果都卖到中国来。还有就是身边的年轻人越来越有创造力、有活力，学习方面越来越努力。比如高中学生已经开始考雅思，因为很多大学有雅思要求。我觉得将来越南的年轻人英文会越来越好，各方面也会越来越好。

  Q2: What do you think is the reason for the rapid development of Vietnam now? What has changed the most?

  Qingwei: Maybe the policy— reform and open up. It started about 10 years ago, and the most obvious thing for me is that transportation is more developed than before. Our government has built infrastructure such as subways, highways, and plans to build high-speed railways like China's in the next decade. Hanoi's subway was built in cooperation with China and is now in use. The Ho Chi Minh City subway is almost built and will probably be ready for use next year. Then there is more and more business with China, and a lot of Vietnamese fruits are sold to China. In addition, the young people around me are becoming more and more creative, energetic, and working harder and harder in learning. For example, high school students have already started taking IELTS because many universities have IELTS requirements. I think that in the future, young people in Vietnam will get better and better at English, and they will get better and better in all aspects.

  Q3：越南高中之后选择出国留学的学生多吗？主要会选择去哪些国家？

  清薇：城市大概百分之三十到五十的同学会去留学，这与学校办学质量有关。主要会去澳大利亚、美国、欧洲，也有一些亚洲国家。如果是农村就没有那么多人会去留学了，因为留学对英语水平和家庭经济还是要求很高的。

  Q3: Are there many Vietnamese students who choose to study abroad after high school? Which countries will you choose to visit?

  Qingwei: About 30 to 50 percent of students in cities will study abroad, which is related to the quality of the school education. Mainly to Australia, the United States, Europe, and some Asian countries. If it is a rural area, not so many people will go to study abroad, because studying abroad still requires high English proficiency and family finance.

  Q4：你为什么会选择学习汉语？

  清薇：我在西贡大学学英语教育，然后老师要求选择一门外语，从法语和汉语里选择。我们大多数学生选择了汉语，因为汉语跟越南语比较相近。比如说“公安”发音和意思是一模一样的，但写起来是不一样的，我们是拉丁语系。中国的成语我们也能明白，学习汉语就容易很多。当然，我特别希望通过学习汉语结交更多的中国朋友。

  Q4: Why did you choose to learn Chinese?

  Qingwei: I studied English education at Saigon University, and then the teacher asked me to choose a foreign language, choosing from French and Chinese. Most of our students chose Chinese because it is relatively similar to Vietnamese. For example, the pronunciation and meaning of "公安" are exactly the same, but the writing is different, and we are Latin. We can also understand Chinese idioms, and it is much easier to learn Chinese.Of course, I especially hope to make more Chinese friends by learning Chinese.
