ABOUT ZISU
Zhejiang International Studies University (ZISU for short) was founded in 1955, is a public university located in Hangzhou, the capital city of Zhejiang Province.
Ever since 2010, ZISU is making effort to develop international education, offering bachelor programs, non-degree programs, exchange programs and internship programs to international students from all over the world. To meet different needs of students, ZISU is now developing more degree programs in English, stratification and mini-class teaching as well. Meanwhile, ZISU emphasizes extracurricular activities and culture courses so as to develop the international students into talents with profound knowledge, solid skills as well as deep understanding of Chinese culture and current situation.
ZISU is located in Xiao Heshan Higher Education Park where students can enjoy a quiet environment and study atmosphere. Gymnasium, football field, library and supermarket are available on campus, which will make your life and study more convenient. Canteens offer different kinds of Chinese and foreign style food including halal food as well to meet the needs of all students.
As a university specialized in foreign studies, ZISU is offering 15 language programs to Chinese students on campus, including English, Spanish, German, Russian, Arabic, French, Turkish, Korean, Japanese and so on. Different programs and activities with different languages and cultures involved have made the campus more internationalized. Wherever you come from, it is easy for you to find someone who knows about your language and culture, and is willing to help you with your adjustment to new environment.
To deepen students’ understanding of China and present their own culture, ZISU is offering different kinds of extracurricular activities, for example International Festival, City Tour, museum visiting and so on.

ELIGIBILITY
1.Applicants must be citizens with valid foreign passports (whose nationalities are not People’s Republic of China). He / She should be in good health conditions and of good conduct. He / She should also abide by the Chinese laws, regulations and the rules of the university.
2. Applicants should graduate from high school or above (Applicants who are still in the last year of high school can provide expected graduation certificate for submitting application while the official graduation certificate must be provided before enrollment).
3. Applicants should meet the language level requirements
a. Programs taught in Chinese:
HSK4 or equivalent level.
b. Programs taught in English:
TOEFL (IBT) no less than 80 or IELTS no less than 6.0.
* Native speakers of Chinese or English can be exempted from the corresponding language proficiency certificate after being recognized by our university.
APPLICATION AND
ADMISSION PROCEDURES
During the application time, please visit the application system of ZISU at http://zisu.at0086.cn/StuApplication/Login.aspx. Students are required to register and log in the website, then fill in relevant information truthfully and completely as required and upload relevant supporting attachments according to the system requirements.
(2) Review and Admissions
The university will examine the application materials and organize relevant assessments according to the students' specific conditions, and then send the Visa Application Form (JW202) and the Admission Notice according to the results. During this period, applicants can check the application progress and relevant notifications in the application system. After receiving the scanned admission notice, students are required to pay 500RMB as application fee before the office send the hard copies of admission notice and visa application form.
Admitted applicants must bring their passport, “Admission Notice”, “Visa Application Form (JW202)”, “Physical Examination Record Form” as well as all physical examination reports including Blood Test Record to the local Chinese Embassy/Consulate or other official agencies authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China to apply for a student visa (X1/X2 visa). Please refer to the requirements of your local Chinese embassy or relevant agency.
New students should enroll on time according to the time specified in the Admission Notice. When you arrive at the university, please bring your Passport (Valid for more than one year), Admission Notice, Visa Application Form (JW202), the original application documents and all original medical examination documents if you have undergone medical examination in your home country.
The university will carry out a preliminary examination and a review of the student's eligibility at the time of students’ arrival and after admission. If it is found that the documents held by the student such as the admission notice and candidate information do not correspond to the actual situation of the student, or if there is any falsification or fraud, the student will be determined to be unqualified and will be disqualified from admission or from the school.
